How I Differ Politically from My Opponent

I am offering you a choice this year. You have a choice of continuing politics as usual, out of control County spending, government intrusion into your life, and the gradual loss of business on the East Side of the county. Or you can elect a Council member who will actually represent you, not just the Progressive wing of the Democrat party.

With no political debts to repay, without "large land holdings and extensive business dealings", with no close ties to any specific industry, special interest group, or political entity, I can represent all the citizens of Summit County.

Unlike my opponent, I have no business dealings with the County (other than paying taxes.) I will not have to recuse myself from doing County business, that is, your business, due to conflicts of interest. I would champion increasing income opportunities for all the County.

Our most dire need is for the Council to get control of their spending and to understand the County's financial situation. Having an MBA, I will champion fiduciary responsibility.

My opponent states that current Council gets along very well, as if that is some positive attribute given four Democrats and the fiscal and legal mess the County is experiencing. What you may want to ask yourself is, "Yeah, the Council gets along great but where are they taking the County?"

Succinctly, I am fiscally conservative and socially inclusive. I believe our human rights come from God, not government. I believe the Constitution to be the supreme law of the land and we have strayed too far from it. I believe we must reign in government or government will reign over us.
